Brief introduction of HDD and SSD
HDD is short for Hard Drive Disk. It’s a data storage device used for storing and retrieving digital information using rapidly rotating disks coated with magnetic material. Differences between HDD and SSD
There are differences between the two types of storage device both in speed and reliability. HDD use a type of magnetism that allows very small “bits” on the disk to either be ‘on’ or ‘off’. Data is encoded in a binary form. While SSD do not use these “bits”, but instead record a type of electrical energy on its surface which allows them to store much more data in a smaller space. Compared with HDD, SSD is much faster in speed and more reliable in reliability.
