Make full use of free space
It happens a lot in computer hard disk that the C drive is running out of disk space
while there are many free space in other partitions. Is there any solution to
balance this embarrassing situation? Of course YES. You can transfer these free
spaces into your poor C drive. The benefit is that you can install more application
or store more files in it. At the same time, your computer will obtain a steady
performance. All being said, now it is time to cut to the chase. How to combine free
space with C drive?
Windows disk management makes no difference
You might first think of Windows disk management. But the bad news is that it doesn't
work at all in this issue. Why? Because Windows disk management only supports to
merge adjacent unallocated disk space. And the later one should be at the right
side. Even when you shrink your partition D or E or F and make an unallocated space,
it doesn't work. These unallocated spaces will locate right after the shrunk
partitions. They will never be adjacent to your partition C. So, don't waste your
time. What should you do then? You will find the answer in the following
content.
There is a lot of server partition management software in the market, aiming at
optimizing the performance of your disk. And some did do a good job. A recommended
one is AOMEI Partition Assistant Server Edition.

There are two ways provided by AOMEI Partition Assistant Server to combine free disk
space with C drive. They are "Allocate Free Space" and "Extend Partition
Wizard".
Method one: Allocate Free Space from one partition to another
This is a relatively easy way. Now right click the D-drive, there are several
operating options for choosing. Click Allocate Free Space (Free
disk space is unused disk capacity).

Then a smaller window pops up. Fill in the blank with specified size that is to
be added in to the C drive, and then click OK.

As is showing below in the screenshot, AOMEI Partition Assistant gives a preview
of this operation. To ensure the change, click Apply at the top-left
corner.

To complete the combination, users can also right click the E drive, and the
procedures are the same as right click partition D.
Method two: Extend Partition Wizard without rebooting
This is a way that takes a few more procedures but can still hit the mark.
Step 1: Find Extend Partition Wizard at left side. You are expected
to click it and choose a way to extend your C drive.

Step 2: Click Next until you see the picture below. According to
the status of your partitions, tick the partition where exists more free space that you
are unlikely to use. And then, click Next to go on.

Step 3: Now drag the slider bar rightwards. The wizard shows you
the minimum and maximum partition size you can get. After this step, follow the guidance
of Extend Partition Wizard to reach the goal.
