The extrusive benefit of
hard drive partition is about hard drive maintenance. It lessens wear and tear of your
drive, although hard drives are durable. Another benefit of hard disk partition is in
file organization. Files are much easier found if we have a partition for it. As I have
3 partitions in my hard disk. System C for my program files, another for my important
and personal files, and the last for multimedia such as audio and video. When I have to
format my system partition interrupted accidently, I would not worry about multimedia
and data files in other partitions.
Though Partition Assistant Standard
Edition is a free partition manager designated for home user only, it supports 32
bit and 64 bit Windows operating systems including Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows
7 and Windows 8. As a Windows XP user, I was fed up with the limited system
partition function. With the less expanded partitioning abilities of Vista, Windows
7 and Windows 8, Partition Assistant is so value to us.
The free partition manager contains
basic partition functions, which offering options: Create Partition, Delete and Resize
Partition. Though that may seem weaker than its Partition Assistant
Professional Edition and Partition
Assistant Server Edition, it really satisfies my common requirement like
extend partition. It allows me to manage partition, redistribute disk space easily;
it also performs more complicated partition operations you can imagine on hard disk.
Resize and Move Partition, Shrink
Partition and Extend
Partition, Merge and Split Partition, all play as Partition magic.
For instance, I take the Resize function on basic disk. I want to extend system C 1
gigabytes to 3 gigabytes. At first, I shrink partition D out unallocated volume 2
gigabytes. Next system C takes up the unallocated volume 2 gigabytes. So you will
find these complex operation so easy to solve. It's indeed convenient for common
users act as a whizz at disk partition management field.
