How to Easily Analyze and Manage Disk Space with AOMEI Partition Assistant?

Overview

A new feature, "Disk Space Analyzer", is available in AOMEI Partition Assistant to analyze and free up the computer disk space. With this useful tool, you can easily locate and remove space-hogging files to free up your computer disk space.

How to Analyze and Free up Disk Space in AOMEI Partition Assistant

Before you do

  • Download and install AOMEI Partition Assistant on the computer where you would like to analyze and free up disk space.
  • Connect drives for disk space analysis.

Step 1: Initiate Disk Space Analyzer

Click the "Free up" main tab and select "Disk Space Analyzer".

Step 2: Select Disk and Start Analysis

Select a partition of drives on your computer and click the "Scan" button to start analyzing the partition space.

Step 3: Check Analysis Result

After it is finished, the partition space detail will be displayed, including total and used space, file and folder quantities, and so on. And, by default, folders on the partition will be listed from top to bottom in descending order by size.

Or, you can also click the "Large Files" option to switch to display files under the path. The files will also be listed from top to bottom in descending order by size.

Free up Disk Space

In the analyzer, you can right-click the file/folder. There are 5 main options available:

Open: Open the file/folder in Windows File Explorer. You can also double-click the file/folder so the file/folder will be opened directly in the analyzer.
Open Path: Open the file/folder path in Windows File Explorer.
Copy Path: Copy the path. You can paste the copied path into another window or Windows File Explorer to locate it.
Delete: Delete the file/folder. After deleting unnecessary files/folders, you can free up the disk space.

Right-click the file/folder you want to delete and select the "Delete" option. A confirmation window will pop up to confirm the deletion. Click "Yes" to continue the deletion. 

The file/folder will be deleted to the computer's Recycle Bin. You can open the Recycle Bin to delete it completely or restore it.


Properties: View the properties of the file/folder in Windows File Explorer.

Conclusion
