“Create VM” in AOMEI Partition Assistant is a new tool available to create a Hyper-V VM. With this tool, you can easily create a Hyper-V VM on Windows without complicted settings and steps. And, you can manage the VM once it is created.
The new "Create VM" and "Manage VM" features in AOMEI Partition Assistant can help you quickly create and manage Hyper-V virtual machines directly from a simple interface in the supported Windows systems. This tool is designed for users who want to easily create virtual machines on Windows without complicated settings and configurations.
Launch AOMEI Partition Assistant. Select the "Create VM" option after clicking the "VM Manager" tab.
The program will detect if the Hyper-V service is installed on this machine. If yes, it will enter the interface to create a VM with a Windows system ISO file.
If not, it will prompt that the Hyper-V service is not installed on this machine. You need to install the Hyper-V service before creating a VM.
Click the "Install" button to start the installation of the Hyper-V service.
The installation process will take time. (5 minutes or longer) Please wait patiently.
After the Hyper-V service is installed successfully, you can create a VM after rebooting the machine. Click the "Restart" button to restart the PC immediately.
Click the "Browse" button to select a Windows system ISO image file to create the VM. And, you can select a system edition if there are multiple system editions available.

After the ISO is selected, click "Next" to continue.
Note: Only system ISO of Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, and above system versions are supported.
Then, you can configure the VM, including its name and location.
Click the "Advanced" option to configure more settings.
Memory: Select the amount of memory (RAM) in megabytes to be allocated to the VM. The memory size must be a multiple of 4MB.
Virtual Hard Disk
Create a virtual hard disk: Create a VHDX dynamically expanding virtual hard disk. And, you can configure the location and size of the virtual hard disk.
Or
Use an existing virtual hard disk: Attach an existing VHD/VHDX virtual hard disk.
Once configured, click "Next" to start the creation of the VM.
Then, the process to create the Hyper-V VM will start. It will take time. Please be patient.
Once the process is finished successfully, you will get a successful pop-up.
You can click the "Manage VM" option to open the Hyper-V Manager to view and manage the Hyper-V VM.
If there has been a Hyper-V VM created on this machine or you have created one with Partition Assistant following the steps above, you can easily open the VM and manage it in AOMEI Partition Assistant.
Launch AOMEI Partition Assistant. Select the "Manage VM" option after clicking the "VM Manager" tab.
It will open the Hyper-V Manager, and then you can easily manage your VM in the Hyper-V Manager. In the Hyper-V Manager, you can start and control the VM, configure VM Hardware, manage Virtual Networking, use Checkpoints (Snapshots), move/export/import VMs, and so on.
