Step 4. You will get into the safe mode window with the Command Prompt window popup. And then you can reset your user account password with the command: net user

Step 5. Press Enter. If you receive the message saying "The command completed successfully", it means the password has been reset successfully, then you can log out and sign into the system with your user account.

Way 2. Reset forgotten Lenovo laptop password via Windows installation disc

▶ Part 1. Boot Lenovo laptop from the installation disc

Step 1. Take the installation disc and insert it into the locked Lenovo laptop.

Step 2. Use the command to replace "osk.exe" with "cmd.exe". You can type the following commands:

• c: (Type the letter of your system drive, if it’s D drive, you need to type d:)
• cd windows\system32

Now, type:

• copy cmd.exe cmd exe ori
• copy osk.exe. osk.exe.ori
• del osk.exe
• ren cmd.exe osk. exe
• shutdown –r –t 00

Step 3. When booting to the login window, click on the Ease of access button, and then click on On-Screen Keyboard.

Part 3. Enable Windows built-in administrator account

Step 1. After the system Command Prompt is opened, activate the built-in Administrator account with the command: net user Administrator /active:yes.

Stage 1. Create Windows password reset USB for Lenovo PC
