Scenario: Lenovo laptop is running very slow on Windows 10

From the first day of my experience with my new Lenovo G50 with good specs windows 10, my Lenovo laptop is running very slow, just clicking the folder takes more than 8-10 secs to open and load, even when I’m trying to click other apps such as Photoshop, Google, minutes past and it is still loading to open, even when I’m playing, I’m trying to unpause the game, it just shut down, sometimes the caps lock on/off are switching. It even just stop, no cursor, just nothing, the screen isn't moving so I only just force to shut it down. I’m not expecting a very fast laptop, but based on its specs, I’m not expecting it to be this slow. Can you guys help me?

Why your Lenovo laptop running slow in Windows 11/10/8/7?

Actually, more than one users have this problem just as the Scenario said. And here we list some possible reasons that cause Lenovo laptop slow:

Thus, clean out the dust out of the vents could help a lot if your laptop is old.

A brush or a can of compressed air is a good tool for clearing the dust.

Method 2. Check your hard disk

Hard drive properties are important for Lenovo laptop users. It is necessary to check hard drive once your Lenovo laptop running slow. Method 3. Free up disk space or replace hard drive with a larger one

The low disk space is another reason that causes Lenovo laptop to run slow. Thus, to speed up your Lenovo laptop, you need to free up disk space or enlarge the disk space.

1. Uninstall useless programs

In Windows 10, you can press Windows key + R key at the same time, type “control panel” to open Control Panel. Here you can quickly identify and remove the useless software to free up some storage space and boost performance of your laptop.  If you still want to use the apps, you can move the installed applications from C drive to another drive

2. Extend system partition

C: drive running out of space can affect Lenovo

Thus, if the C: drive is almost full, your laptop will slow down. Thus, you can try to extend system partition to speed up your Lenovo laptop.

Windows Disk Management can help you extend system partition. But if there is no unallocated space next to C drive, the Extend Volume would be grayed out. Thus, the partition manager AOMEI Partition Assistant can help a lot - It allows you to allocate free space from one hard drive to another, which can directly extend system partition with free space on other partitions.

Step 1. Launch AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional. Right-click the D: drive (you can also choose another hard drive which has free disk space), and select Allocate Free Space.

Step 3. When you back to the main interface, you can see that the C: drive has been enlarged. Click Apply-> Proceed to submit the operation.

Connect the new larger hard drive to your Lenovo laptop via a USB cable, make sure it can be detected.

1>. Launch AOMEI Partition Assistant Professional. click "Clone" and "Clone Disk".
