Step 1. Click on "Start" and type "Device Manager" in Search box, then hit "Enter" to open it.

Step 2. Click "Disk drives" to expand the category. Right-click on Samsung SSD drive and select "Update driver".

Step 3. Select "Search automatically for updated driver software".

If these steps do not work, try reinstalling the driver: select "Uninstall" in the step 2. Then restart your PC, and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

Method 3. Repair SSD bad sectors

"Bad sectors" on SSDs can cause that slow speed when you accessing large files, active applications. Sometimes it even often freezes up or crashes. To fix such disk errors, you can run CHKDSK tool in CMD window.

Step 1. Click on "Start" and type "cmd" in Search field, right-click the Command Prompt icon and select "Run as administrator" to open the Command Prompt utility in administrator mode.

Step 2. In the CMD window, type "chkdsk g: /f /r /x" (g is the drive letter of the SSD drive) to check and fix bad sectors on the disk.

⓵Rebuild MBR of the SSD drive

A damaged MBR (Master Boot Record) can make your SSD drive fail to work, so you might need to rebuild it.

Step 1. Install and launch AOMEI Partition Assistant in your Windows computer. Right-click the Samsung SSD drive to select "Rebuild MBR".
